The Ph. D. degree programme in both the Applied Geophysics and Applied Geology option is usually for candidate who normally holds a satisfactory M. Sc. degree from approved Universities within and outside the country. The Ph. D. programme normally runs for a period of three years. Each Ph. D. applicant is enjoined to first contact a potential supervisor to discuss his/her research interest before applying. Like the M. Sc. programmes, candidates shall be required to satisfy the examiners by submitting an original thesis-based research and to defend it in an oral examination
