The postgraduate research programmes are designed to provide effective and academically sound exposure leading to the award of M.Sc., degree by research and Ph. D degree in the specialized areas of Applied Geology and Geophysics .
Three options are available within the Applied Geology Programme. They are:
- Engineering & Hydrogeology – Coordinator (Dr. B. M. Salami)
- Mineral Exploration & Geochemistry – Coordinator (Dr. A. Adetunji)
- Sedimentary and Petroleum Geology – Coordinator (Dr. S. L. Fadiya)
These options together with the postgraduate programmes in Applied Geophysics – Coordinator (Dr. D. E. Falebita) adequately meet the needs for specialist knowledge and expertise for mineral resources development, engineering & site investigation, groundwater investigation and oil exploration.
Application is usually made to the Postgraduate College.
