The Federal Government of Nigeria awarded the sum of N9 million naira to the Department of Geology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to map and evaluate Talc/Talcose bodies in Osun State, Nigeria.

Obafemi Awolowo University was among 11 other Universities awarded project funds for different research purposes.

The Minister of State for Mines, Mr Bwari affirmed that the projects, which will involve students and lecturers would improve quality of learning and enhance the geosciences database required by mining investors.
